Technical specification

The major difference between the P67 Performance and P67 Professional, flagship of the ASRock Fatal1ty series, is the presence of a single PCI Express slot instead of the three ones of the P67 Professional. This implies no support for SLI and Crossfire, a lack that makes it theoretically less suited to gaming than many motherboards that implement both slots made available by the two PCI Express 2.0 x8 link of Sandy Bridge. However, there are many high-end video cards or dual GPUs that are able to achieve great performance in videogames, then this mainboard is still a great choice for those who do not need to install more than one video card. Other important differences are in power, with a half number of phases and the absence of the Digital PWM control. We also have 4 USB 3.0 ports less and 4 6Gb/s SATA ports less.The P67 Performance does not rely on the Marvell controller to get the additional 4 6Gb/s SATA port, absence altogether negligible due to the poor performance of the Marvell controller.The features and layout of the P67 Performance mimics in many respects those of P67 Pro3.
