Ho approfittato della presenza dello slot mSATA per installarvi, in luogo della scheda Wireless+Bluetooth, un SSD di Samsung (840 EVO, 120 GB), dal quale avvio Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center ed il front-end XBMC 13.1 (Gotham) in tempi rapidissimi: YouTube - VIDEO Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) non viene avviato come shell per ridurre ancor più i tempi. In sua vece utilizzo un launcher (XBMCLauncher), il quale carica il tool di automazione EventGhost che poi carica XBMC con le mappature del mio "vecchio" telecomando CyberLink a marchio Sapphire. Sono contentissimo dell'acquisto. Unica perplessità la presenza, sul sito ASRock, nell'elenco di supporto CPU, di un nuovo BIOS (v2.20) del quale in realtà non vi è traccia se non digitando il percorso completo del file: ftp://europe.asrock.com/bios/FM2+/FM2A88X-ITX+(2.20)ROM.zip Comunque direi che non ho necessità di aggiornare il mio UEFI, perché il v2.20 aggiunge, in pratica, solo il supporto alle APU più recenti, come la A8-7600 che può funzionare con un TDP di 65W o di 45W. Ho atteso la sua uscita per mesi, poi mi sono stancato ed ho acquistato la A6-6400K (Richland); comunque un bel prodotto, e più che sufficiente per l'uso al quale ho adibito il PC.
