masbuskado
Thank you guys... I try to recycle as much as I can for this project... so far I have spent $0 on it... just scrap metal, wood and plastic that I have on the shop... I always like to try different shapes and colors... since there is not plan for this I don't know the outcome as well jajajaja... so today I start sanding and painting a few parts... I found some spray paint left overs (dark gray, winter gray and sage green) I will buy some chrome and metallic paint next week but so far this is what I have... Â Â Â Â Â Â Â More to come! masbuskado
I am honestly still a little confused about the structure, i haven't a precise idea so i can't wait to see it finished and see how it comes out  The structure is the 2 X that hold the whole thing in place... I try to keep it simple and elegant at the same time... since I don't have a plan this go with whatever am thinking at the moment... but it's pretty much done... just need to apply body filler to the wood and some primer... wire the chassis and can called done!!!  Looking simply awesome mate!!!!  Thanks bro, cheers!!! masbuskado
I went to my local hardware store and pick 2 tones of metallic paint just to found out that they look almost identical when you apply them... so I decided to use them anyway... so here are some pics... masbuskado
Thank you guys... I will try to make it the more metallic I can... Today I decided to play with my favorite material... bondo or body filler... but here is the twist I developed a technique called "Magic Elixir" a few years ago... that consist on making the spreading of the body filler on the part much easier than the traditional way... so I will share it with you just in case somebody need it for future or present use.  First you need some disposable plastic jars or cup (they must strong or the mixture will melt it)   here is the bondo or body filler   this is what will make our body filler go to creamy or liquid estate (Fiberglass resin) I try several thing when I was testing this technique and this was that give me better result than any other chemical.   now we pour the Bondo, the resin, the 2 hardeners into the plastic cup and mix it until we get a nice even color depending on the body filler you are using...    here is Hunter supervising what I am doing...    when your done mixing you mixture should be looking something like this...   this is the part I will apply the Magic Elixir...   it should look like this when you finish... nice and even... it will save you a lot of spreading and sanding time...      Hope you like it... feel free to use it and ask me any question about this technique...  Now let get back to work! :P Edited March 5, 2012 by masbuskado
