"Hi to all. I am new to this forum. I play arma 2 oa 1.59, and I am experiancing strange sli usage with two 580gtx and 266.58 drivers. When I am in game cards usage drops from 20% to 50% tops and 35-50fps. When I enter the menu, usage takes off to 99% for both cards and fps goes to 110. Any one else having this problem? Any solution?
Thanks!".
Ed un utente gli risponde:
"That's to do with being CPU limited. Usually beacuse of alot of AI or being in an area with lots of buildings. Both of those things are highly CPU intensive. If you go out to a forested area with not much around you will see your SLI usage increase dramatically also. Another thing that can cause you to be CPU limited is a very high view distance, like 4000+.
Pressing escape pauses all CPU calculations so the gpu can get to flex its muscles fully.".
Inoltre:
"It seems hard to believe that it could be the CPU but unfortunatelly you will have to accept this fact and change to a 2500K or better to fully utilise your GPU's.
Even though your 6 core CPU @ 4Ghz is showing 65% usage, you might have 1 core going to 95% usage which is limiting your performance. It only takes ONE core to be at >90% for your performance to drop, the other cores have extra room to breath but that one process is maxing out the core and the system is waiting on it.
Since you have the $ to get another 580.... splurge on a 2500K (or better), cheap SLI MB and let us know the results... I think you would be pleasantly surprised."

DAMN SOLVED.
Ora provo qualche altro gioco e lunedì mi compro un 2500k
